ABOUT
ME!
My name is Sean Smith and I am from Charleston, South Carolina. I have lived in Charleston all my life and want to live here for the rest of my life. I have three siblings, 2 brothers and 1 little sister. Matthew (16) and Russell (15) are probably my best friends because we have done everything together. Elizabeth (13) is very precious to me. Elizabeth looks up to me like no one else does and I do my best to be a good big brother. My parents Jen and Tim have been happily married for 19 years. My parents are the best parents in the world. They have always pointed me in the right direction and have made me who I am.

Throughout my life I have dealt with ADHD. ADHD has played a huge role on how I act day to day. I was prescribed medicine when I was the age of 5. The medicine Methylphenidate or Concerta, is a very powerful stimulant that has noticeable side effects. The side effects are anxiety, nervousness, sweating, irregular heart beat, wanting to be isolated, and poor appetite. Though I do not like being on my medicine, I know it is best for me to take it during school. I never take it when I have to do something that requires school and that's the trade off. Take while I am at school and don't take it when I am out trying to have fun.
I have played soccer ever since I was able to walk. I have traveled to many different states to play soccer and I wish that I was playing at HPU. I might play club or inter-mural. Whenever I feel stressed or have an anxiety I go and play soccer. Soccer has helped me get through a lot of though times so playing it throughout my college career will help. Soccer is such a big part of my life that the major that I am interested in, exercise science, relates to sports in general.
